Remember that the gospel you profess is not merely doctrine to be tucked away in your mind. It needs to live in your heart. Nor is it only to be talked about with the tongue but must be expressed by your behavour and actions. “Be doers of the Word and not hearers only, thereby deceiving yourselves,” the apostle writes, (James 1:22). God adopted you as his children so that Christ’s likeness may be seen in you. God has chosen and called you to be temples so that that He may live in you by His Holy Spirit. Remember that God’s temple is holy. It is not permitted to pollute it by using what is holy in some unholy way. God has created you for his glory. Christ has purchased you so that you belong to him. See to it that you are devoted and consecreated to God, speaking and thinking and doing only what honours him.
